Jesters
Introduction
Once you reach level 60 as an Acrobat, you will be able to job change into a Jester. Jesters use Yo-Yo's as their main weapon and they have a wide variety of skills available. The main stat point for a Jester is Strength (STR), but they also benefit from Dexterity (DEX), as it adds block rate, attack speed and hit rate. Sadly, this class does not have any AoE skills. A workaround is to use a bow (Bow Jesters), some prefer the Bow Jester route for leveling for many other reasons. They will later restat and re-equip themselves, but that's for another guide.
The Pros of a Jester:
• Good damage
• Good in The Wilds/Savage Wilds
Jesters can solo Wilds with some efforts.
• Very good in PvP
• Usefull skills
Escape skills, attack skills and very strong self buffs. Let's not forget about Penya Strike, a very usefull PvP skill.
• Ranged class
Even though they don't have the biggest range, you will still save time from running all the way to the monster.
• High Critical/Attack Speed Rate
Jesters have a very high Critical Rate and Attack Speed Rate.
The Cons of a Jester:
• Slow leveling
• Not exactly the best class for dungeons (except Wilds)
Builds for a Jester!
If you're planning on leveling, use the following build.
Keep in mind: DO NOT ADD INT as it doesn't benefit Jesters in any way!
Without any buffs or equipment:
FINAL
STR: XXX
STA: 15
DEX: 60-80
INT: 15
Now, you will want to primarily add STR. You will also need DEX, around 60-80 (UNBUFFED). With Cannon Ball you should have 80-100 DEX. Make sure to add DEX at lower levels as you will
greatly need it later on. By level 75 you should already have 80 DEX. It's recommended to have that
amount of DEX even sooner if you don't want to find yourself missing a lot.
If you are using a +8 Set, then you can remove some DEX points from the build:
STR: XXX
STA: 15
DEX: 50
INT: 15
Max level build:
STR: XXX
STA: 35
DEX: 15
INT: 15
Skills - which ones do you need to max?
When you create a character, you won't receive infinite SP (skill points), you receive SP upon leveling up and job changing. Level 1 characters start out with 0 SP. There are lots of skills available but never enough SP, so you cannot max all skills, at least not until you level up to a very high level. Therefore, be careful in which skills you put points in. Add points only in skills that will unlock the skills that you need (specified in the guide). Most of them have requirements, a level requirement and a previous skill requirement. (e.g. Skill Y requires 4 points in skill X
and it also requires you to be level 20 to unlock it). SP gain depends
on your level, the higher the level, the more SP you get upon leveling
up.
Maximum skill level
First Job: level 20.
Second Job: level 10.
Third Job: level 5.
Vagrant Skill Tree
Don't spend any points in Vagrant skills, save those points for your Acrobat skills.
Acrobat Skill Tree
In importance order (left to right):
Yo-Yo Mastery, Perfect Block, Fast Walker, Dark Illusion, Counterattack (<-- Only level Counterattack when you're going to PvP in later levels 75+).
Yo-Yo Mastery
Lv. 20
Perfect Block
Lv. 45
Fast Walker
Lv. 18
Lv. 18
Dark Illusion
Lv. 30
Jester Skill Tree
Enchant Poison
Lv. 60
Critical Swing
Lv. 65

This skills is VERY important and it's VERY good.
Penya Strike

Counterattack
Lv. 40
- Absorb energy from opponents attack (attack must be a Skill) and send it back. May generate Knock Back. Useful while fightning in PvP.
Special Yo-Yo Mastery - Master Skill
Silence - Hero Skill
Awakenings
You will have to aim for ICD/STR/CRIT/DEX awakenings. Since you're 1v1 you're going to rely on critical hits. Therefore, ICD and STR are the best awakenings for you. Note: Penya Strike uses STR.
ICD = Increased Critical Damage. (also referred to as ADOCH)
Helmet: STR/DEX (Preferred STR)
Suit: ICD/STR/DEX (Preferred ICD)
Gaunts: CRIT
Boots: ICD
Weapon: ICD/STR/DEX (Preferred ICD)
Pet: ICD/STR/DEX (Preferred ICD)
Gear
This highly depends on your budget!
Levels 15-30
If you're not a new player and if you have enough money, you can awake and use some NPC gear. Alternatively you can use a level 15 green set or complete Reonan's chain quests as they will reward you with a level 15 +3 set. If you keep completing these chain quests, he will give you a level 30 green set which is pretty good!
Levels 45-60
The level 45 green set is the best option. You can even use it until level 150-H. It's basically end game gear for a Jester. It's the best to have it upgraded and awakened. As you can see below, the set effects are very good.
Method 2: Continue using the level 15/30 green set or use awakened Vagrant armor.
Levels 60-89
Method 2: At this point you should have some money so either use awakened Vagrant gear (best option if you can't afford a level 45 set)
Levels 90-120
Method 2: Use the level 90 green set Restra/Rasra. There isn't a big difference between the level 45 and 90 set, both are extremely good and suitable as end game gear. If you're going to use the level 90 set, then you will benefit from 15% more Critical Rate which is good if you lack Critical Rate. Personally, I suggest switching to this set if you have the money for it. Don't forget to upgrade and awake it too.
Restra/Rasra
Set Effect:
1/4: No effect
2/4: Def +21
3/4: Def +49, Critical Rate +15%
4/4: Def +49, Critical Rate +15%, ICD +40%
Tanking Gear
Use the level 105 green set if you want to tank or have more HP. This is usually for PvP reasons (switching between DMG and HP gear).
Jesis/Jenes
Set Effect:
1/4: No effect
2/4: Def +10%
3/4: Def +10%, Ranged Atk Block +10%, Short Range Atk Block +10%
4/4: Def +15%, Ranged Atk Block +15%, Short Atk Block +15%, Add HP+15%
Weapons
Levels 1-44
Any Yo-Yo that you can wear, depending on your level. If you're still completing Reonan's quests, at level 40-ish there will be a quest that will reward you with a level 40 Yo-Yo upgraded to +6.
Level 45
Pulley of Clockworks
Attack: 122 ~ 124
Attack speed: Fast
Bonus: Attack+3, Critical+1%
Required Job: Acrobat
Required Level: 45
Level 60
Attack: 223 ~243
Attack speed: Fast
Bonus: Attack Speed +15%, Attack +5%, Increased Critical Damage +28%, Reflect +1%, Hit Rate +10%
Required Job: Acrobat
Required Level: 60
Levels 75-120 Non-Master
Green Weapon's (Not recommended)
These are all obtainable through normal Giants.
Level 75: Historic Yo-Yo
Level 90: Angel Yo-Yo
Level 105: Legendary Golden Yo-Yo
Level 120: Bloody Yo-Yo (This one is actually good but you're already high level at this point)
Bloody weapons drop from Red Meteonyker, a powerful boss.
Bloody weapons drop from Red Meteonyker, a powerful boss.
You can also buy any of the following:
These are all obatinable through game Bosses, therefore more powerful and expensive.
Level 80: Ultimate Jewel of Nightmares
Level 95: Ultimate Typhoon
Level 110: Ultimate Viceroy
Level 120: Ultimate Vampire Yo-Yo
These 4 are actually gradually better than the Lusaka Yo-Yo, but only slightly. Therefore, I don't recommend buying all of them, but only ONE and keeping it until you can afford the Master/Hero Weapons.
Levels 60-120 Master
Once Master, you're going to be able to use the following weapons:
75 Master: Ultimate Lusaka's Crystal Yo-Yo
80 Master: Ultimate Mystic Jewel of Nightmares
95 Master: Ultimate Majestic Typhoon
110 Master: Ultimate Mastercraft Viceroy
120 Master: Ultimate Ancient Yo-Yo
They are gradually better, but only slightly. Therefore, I don't recommend buying all of them, but only ONE and keeping it until you can afford an Ancient Yo-Yo. In the end it's not worth buying each one of them. You will also have to upgrade them every time you purchase a new one. So that's why I'm suggesting sticking only with 1.
My recommendation:
Level 75: Buy a Ultimate Lusaka's Yo-Yo -> keep it until you reach level 75 Master.
Level 75 Master: Buy a Ultimate Lusaka's Crystal Yoyo -> keep it until you reach level 120 Master.
Level 120 Master: Buy a Ultimate Ancient Yo-Yo
Pets
Recommended for leveling/damage: Tiger
Jewerly
Any jewerly that gives you STR, ICD, Increased Attack, Attack Damge etc.
You may even use Arek's (DEX) for example if you have a wrong build or negative DEX awakenings.
This ONLY if you lack Attack Speed, Hit Rate or Critical Chance.
Cards
Weapons
PvM = Fire Cards
PvP = Fire Cards or Land Cards or combination.
This depends on what you're trying to do, deal damage or tank.
Suit
PvP = Lightning Cards or Volcano Cards.
This depends on what you're trying to do, deal damage or tank.
PvM = Lightning Cards.
General Tips
- Completing Reonan's quests would be a wise choice if you don't have penya.
- It's a very good idea to have a Ringmaster around.
You can multi log, so get your Acrobat to level 34, then get your second character to level 15 (Assist-RM) and you will be able to plvl yourself.
- Always have a leecher while leveling.
- Join an Advanced Party while leveling.
