 More Guides:

Hey there!
I wrote this guide to help aspiring Billposters.
Here's what the guide will cover:
•  Introduction
•  Pros and Cons
•  Builds
•  Skills
•  Awakenings
•  Gear
•  General Tips

Billposters

Introduction

Once you reach level 60 as an Assist, you will be able to job change into a Billposter.
Their main weapons are Knuckles & Shileds, or Sticks to buff & heal themselves/others.
Billposters are powerful melee fighters who can also be tanky. The main stat point for a 1 versus 1 Billposter is Strength (STR), but they also benefit from Dexterity (DEX), and sometimes a bit of Stamina (STA). There are many play styles and builds for this job, but this guide is for 1v1 players.

The Pros of a 1 versus 1 Billposter:

High Damage

Tanky

Self-sufficient
Billposters are able to buff themselves (Assist buffs) in order to increase their damage and endurance. They don't depend on Ringmasters, but of course if you can get a FS to aid you, it will be much better.

Ability to stun chain
You can pretty much chain stun monsters/players with the help of a skill called "Stone Hand".

Usefull buffs/skills

Good in PvP

Awesome Giant Hunter

The Cons of an 1 versus 1 Billposter:

Slow leveling compared to an AoE Billposter

Not as good in PvP compared to Asalraalaikum Billposters

Stonehand Bug
There's currently a bug that sometimes causes monsters to attack faster when they come out of the Stun effect. This can be a problem when you Giant Hunt. A quick way to fix this is to run away for a while when they get out of the Stun effect. After a few seconds of running away (or in big circles), just attack the monster again.
 Builds for a 1 versus 1 Billposter!

Recommended build:
Keep in mind: DO NOT add any INT as it doesn't benefit 1v1 Billposters in any way!
Without any buffs or equipment:

FINAL

STR: XXX
STA: 30
DEX: 43
INT: 15

You will need a lot of Strength, as Strength brings your attack power up. Add as many points as you can.
Stamina is needed to survive critical hits from monsters. With maxxed Heap Up, your Stamina points should be at 70.
Dexterity increases your accuracy, attack speed and critical chance. With maxxed Cannon Ball, you should have at least 63 DEX, which results in a speed break.

DO NOT ADD ANY INTELLIGENCE POINTS.

Skills - which ones do you need to max?

When you create a character, you won't receive infinite SP (skill points), you receive SP upon leveling up and job changing. Level 1 characters start out with 0 SP. There are lots of skills available but never enough SP, so you cannot max all skills, at least not until you level up to a very high level. Therefore, be careful in which skills you put points in. Add points only in skills that will unlock the skills that you need (specified in the guide). Most of them have requirements, a level requirement and a previous skill requirement. (e.g. Skill Y requires 4 points in skill X and it also requires you to be level 20 to unlock it). SP gain depends on your level, the higher the level, the more SP you get upon leveling up.

Maximum skill level

First Job: level 20.
Second Job: level 10.
Third Job: level 5.

Vagrant Skill Tree

Don't spend any points in the Vagrant skills. Save the points for your Assist skills.

Assist Skill Tree

In importance order (left to right):
Heap Up, Haste, Stonehand, Beef Up, Accuracy, Cannon Ball, Quick Step.
 Heap Up
Lv. 20

- Increases the Stamina of a target by +40 when maxxed.

Haste

Lv. 25

- Increases the Attack Speed of a target by +25% when maxxed.

Stonehand
Lv. 20

Leave Stonehand at only level 19, because level 19 Stonehand
is the same as the level 20 Stonehand. Therefore, you will save 2 skill points.

- Attacks have a chance to stun for a short period of time.

Beef Up
Lv. 25
 - Increases the Strength of a target by +20 when maxxed.

Accuracy
Lv. 30
 - Increases the accuracy of a target by +20% when maxxed.

Cannon Ball
Lv. 35
 - Increases the Dexterity of a target by +20 when maxxed.

Quick Step
Lv. 20
 - Increases the walk speed of a target by +30% when maxxed.

(Optional) Resurrection.
Lv. 20
 - Resurrects a dead player. Leave it at level 1 or 4

Billposter Skill Tree
Asmodeus
Lv. 60

- Increases your Attack Power when using a Knuckle by +80 when maxxed.

Sonichand
Lv. 75

- Fast, straight punch.
This skill is mostly used in PvP, so if you want to PvP, max this skill too.
Sonichand works well with Stonehand.

Asalraalaikum
Lv. 80

- Fully concentrated strike. It consumes all of your MP.

This skill is what makes Billposters so strong in PvP.
High level players who PvP will max this skill and build around it.
Their gear is focused on MP and STR awakenings as this skill gets stronger with more MP and STR. It can K.O. most of the players and normal monsters in 1 hit with the right equipment.

Special Knuckle Mastery - Master Skill

- Boosts the attack power of your knuckle. The higher your mastery level, the more effective it is.

Awakenings
You will have to aim for ICD/STR/CRIT/DEX awakenings. Since you're 1v1 you're going to rely on critical hits. Therefore, ICD and STR are the best awakenings for you.
ICD = Increased Critical Damage. (also referred to as ADOCH)

Helmet: STR/DEX (Preferred STR)
Suit: ICD/CRITICAL CHANCE (Preferred ICD)
Gaunts: CRIT/ATTACK SPEED (Preferred CRIT)
Boots: ICD
Weapon: ICD/STR/CRITICAL CHANCE/DEX (Preferred ICD)
Shield: ICD/CRITICAL CHANCE (Do you lack Critical Chance? If yes, get some critical chance.)
Pet: ICD/STR/CRITICAL CHANCE/DEX (Preferred ICD)
Fashion: ICD/STR/CRITICAL CHANCE/DEX (Preferred ICD)

As you can see, you need a lot of ICD, but keep in mind that Critical Chance awakenings are also needed. ICD increases your critical hit attack, but if you don't have a lot of Critical  Chance then it's pointless. Try to balance the awakenings out.

Gear

This highly depends on your budget!

Levels 1-59

Best option: High budget
Vagrant gear with good awakenings or you can use an awesome awakened level 30 green set. Depending on your awakenings, you could keep these sets until level 105.

Second option: Low budget
Sardine/Curus Set
Lv. 15

1/4: No effect
2/4: Def+15, DEX+3
3/4: Def+33, DEX+3, FP+10%, MP+10%
4/4: Def+33, DEX+3, FP+10%, MP+10%, Atk Speed+10%

Or you can use the Talin/Sayram Set.

Talin/Sayram (Recommended)
Lv. 30

1/4: No effect
2/4: Def+19, INT+5
3/4: Def+47, INT+5, FP Consumption-15%, MP Consumption-15%
4/4: Def+47, INT+5, FP Consumption-15%, MP Consumption-15%, Crit Rate+10%

This set is awesome because of the Critical Rate it gives. You can also get it for free if you complete Reonan's chain quests, you will be rewarded with equipment, EXP and penya, so I recommend completing the quests.

Levels 60-104

Best option: High budget
Keep using the awakened Vagrant or Talin/Sayram set.

Second option: Low budget

Continue using the Talin/Sayram set or try buying a decent Vagrant set. (one that surpasses your level 30 set)

Alternatively, you could buy one of the following sets:

Shurand/Shuran Set
Lv. 60
1/4: No effect
2/4: Def+19
3/4: Def+45, INT+8
4/4: Def+45, INT+8, Add HP+15%

Alext/Ales Set
Lv. 75
1/4: No effect
2/4: Def+21
3/4: Def+43, DEX+7
4/4: Def+43, DEX+7, Add HP+15%

Levels 105-150

The Rody/Rodey set is a must. It can be clean or not, this again depends on your budget.

This is the best available set for a 1v1 Billposter.

Rody/Rodey Set
Lv. 105

1/4: No effect
2/4: Def+20
3/4: Def+47, Hit Rate 12%
4/4: Critical Damage +40%, Def+47, Hit Rate 12%

If you want to have a backup set for tanking stuff, I recommend the following set.

Billst/Billporon Set
Lv. 105

1/4: No effect
2/4: Def+10%
3/4: Def+10%, Ranged Block+10%, Melee Block+10%
4/4: HP+15%,Def+15%, Ranged Block+15%, Melee Block+15%

Pets

Recommended for leveling/damage: Tiger / Rabbit.
Tanking/Endurance: Unicorn / Lion.

Use a tiger for more damage or use the rabbit if you lack attack speed/critical chance/accuracy.
Lions are better for high level characters, while unicorns are better for lower level characters.

Shields

Any shield that has good awakenings.
Keep in mind that there are some rare shields out there too.

Ancient Shield
Lv. 57

DEF: 348-351

Shield of Ivillnes
Lv. 70
DEF: 280-282
BONUS: ALL Stats +1.

Weapons

Levels 1-44

Any Knuckle/Stick that you can wear, depending on your level. If you're still completing Reonan's quests, at level 40-ish there will be a quest that will reward you with a level 40 Knuckle & Stick upgraded to +6. I will not mention Sticks because you can use any Stick, they don't really matter.

Level 45

Fist of Revenge

It's a bonus, but totally not required. Use it if you can or afford.

Attack: 130 ~ 132
Attack Speed: Fast
Bonus: STR+5, Damage reflect+10%
Required Job: Assist
Required Level: 45

Level 60

Guardian Knuckle (Recommended)

Attack: 258 ~ 260
Attack Speed: Fast
Bonus: Critical Chance +6%, Attack Speed +3%, Increased Critical Damage +23%, Reflect Damage +1%, Hit +10%
Required Job: Assist
Required Level: 60

Yakadain Knuckle
(If you can't afford a Guardian Knuckle)

Attack: 220 ~ 225
Attack Speed: Fast
Bonus: STR+5, Hit rate+20%
Required Job: Assist
Required Level: 60

Levels 75-120 Non-Master

Once you reach level 75, you NEED a Ultimate Lusaka's Fist. This weapon is more powerful than a level 105 green Knuckle. If you can't afford a Lusaka Knuckle, just buy a green weapon, depending on your level.
Ultimate Lusaka's Fist

Attack: 493 ~ 494
Attack Speed: Fast
Added bonus: Critical Chance +10%, Attack Speed +6%, Increased Critical Damage +63%, Additional Damage to Monsters [Wind]+3%, Hit +10%
Required Job: Assist
Required Level: 75

Green Weapon's (Not recommended)
These are all obtainable through normal Giants.
Level 75: Historic Knuckle
Level 90: Angel Knuckle
Level 105: Legendary Golden Gloves
Level 120: Bloody Knuckle (This one is actually good but you're already high level at this point)
Bloody weapons drop from Red Meteonyker, a powerful boss.

You can also buy any of the following:
These are all obatinable through game Bosses, therefore more powerful and expensive.
Level 80: Ultimate Knuckle of Madness
Level 95: Ultimate Fist of Tides
Level 110: Ultimate Godhand
Level 120: Ultimate Vampire Knuckle

These 4 are actually gradually better than the Lusaka Knuckle, but only slightly.
Therefore, I don't recommend buying all of them, but only ONE and keeping it until you can afford the Master/Hero Weapons.

 Levels 60-120 Master

Once Master, you're going to be able to use the following weapons:

75 Master: Ultimate Lusaka's Crystal Fist
80 Master: Ultimate Mystic Knuckle of Madness
95 Master: Ultimate Majestic Fist of Tides
110 Master: Ultimate Mastercraft Godhand
120 Master: Ultimate Ancient Knuckle

They are gradually better, but only slightly. Therefore, I don't recommend buying all of them, but only ONE and keeping it until you can afford an Ancient Knuckle
In the end it's not worth buying each one of them.  You will also have to upgrade them every time you purchase a new one, that's why I'm suggesting sticking only with one.
My recommendation:

Level 75: Buy a Ultimate Lusaka's Knuckle -> keep it until you reach level 75 Master.
(Optional) Level 75 Master: Buy a Ultimate Lusaka's Crystal Knuckle -> keep it until you reach level 120 Master.
Level 120 Master: Buy a Ultimate Ancient Knuckle

 Jewerly

Any jewerly that gives you STR, ICD, Increased Attack, Attack Damge etc.
You may even use Arek's (DEX) for example if you have a wrong build or negative DEX awakenings.
This ONLY if you lack Attack Speed, Hit Rate or Critical Chance.

Cards

Weapons
For PvM you will need Fire and Electric Cards. Try to balance them out, see what you're lacking.

Suit
Lightning Cards or Volcano Cards. This depends on what you're trying to do, deal damage or tank.
Volcano Cards give HP %
Lightning Cards give Increased Attack %.

 General Tips

- Completing Reonan's quests would be a wise choice if you don't have penya.
- It's a bonus having a Ringmaster around. You can multi log, so get your Assist (Assist->BP) to level 34, then get your second character to level 15 (Assist->RM) and you will be able to plvl yourself.
- Always have a leecher while leveling.
- Join an Advanced Party while leveling.

Hey there!

I wrote this guide to help aspiring Rangers. This guide is

for 1v1 Acrobats->Rangers, and not AoE. Here's what the guide will cover:

•  Introduction

Acrobats/Rangers

Introduction

Once you reach level 60 as an Acrobat, you will be able to job change into a Ranger. Rangers use a bow as their main weapon and they have a wide variety of bow skills available, from Area of Effect skills to 1 on 1 skills. The main stat points for a Ranger are Dexterity (DEX) and Stamina (STA). Dexterity adds block rate as well as damage to their attacks. Stamina adds health points and defence. This is what makes this class so great, you can have high damage while being able to tank a lot of monsters. In addition you have some pretty cool skills that help you become an agility master.

The Pros of a Ranger:

  High block rate
As stated above, this class has a very high block rate because of the DEX points and because of a skill this class has. (Perfect Block)

  One of the best class
Currently Rangers excel in PvM and PvP. You can be either a damage dealer (with high survivability) or a tank. It's a very good class for giant hunting, boss hunting and PvP.

  Usefull skills
Awesome kit, from AoE and 1v1 to escape skills.

  Tank/Damage dealer

  HnR AoE available

  Ranged class
Saves you time from running all the way to the monster.

  High Critical/Attack Speed Rate

  Good at Giant Hunting

The Cons of a Ranger:

•  Equipment is expensive
Keep in mind that prices change all the time! At the time I posted this guide prices were a bit high.

•  Arrows can be expensive for a level 15 player

Builds for an Acrobat->Ranger!

Recommended build 1:

If you're planning on leveling and sometimes giant hunting AND you don't have a Ringmaster after you buffing and healing you, then I recommend you the following build:

Keep in mind: DO NOT ADD STR/INT as it doesn't benefit Rangers in any way!

Without any buffs and equipment!

STR: 15
STA: 40
DEX: XXX
INT: 15

Recommended build 2:

If you won't giant hunt then I recommend going full DEX.

Without any buffs and equipment!

STR: 15
STA: 15
DEX: XXX
INT: 15

Skills - which ones do you need to max?

When you create a character, you won't receive infinite SP (skill points), you receive SP upon leveling up and job changing. Level 1 characters start out with 0 SP. There are lots of skills available but never enough SP, so you cannot max all skills, at least not until you level up to a very high level. Therefore, be careful in which skills you put points in.

Don't spend any points in Vagrant skills, save those points for your Acrobat skills.

Acrobat Skill Tree

In importance order (left to right):
Rapid Shot, Bow Mastery, Perfect Block, Fast Walker, Dark Illusion.

Rapid Shot
Lv. 15

- At lower levels you will want to spamm this skill while leveling. It shoots 4 consecutive arrows but it can also miss. It has 70% Accuracy at max level.

Bow Mastery
Lv. 20
- Adds Bow Damage +20 at max level.

Perfect Block
Lv. 45

- Adds Melee Block +20% at max level.

Fast Walker
Lv. 18

- Increases walk speed for a short time; Speed +50% at max level.

Dark Illusion
Lv. 30

- Become Invisible for a short time; 14 seconds at max level.

Ranger Skill Tree

Now this is a bit tricky beacuse the most useful skills are for AoE. As this guide is for 1v1 I won't be mentioning the AoE skills. You will obviously need Special Bow Mastery and Eye of the Hawk too no matter if you're 1v1 or AoE. Those are Master and Hero Skills so I won't be adding a description.

Fast Shot
Lv. 65

You will want to max Fast Shot ONLY if you don't have 100% Attack Speed. This skill will give you +25% Attack Speed at maxed level so try to add only a few points if all you need is a few %.

Nature
Lv. 70

Max Nature if you need some Magic Defence. It will give you +125 Magic Defense at max level.

Silent Arrow
Lv. 75

Max Silent Arrow if you're planning on PvPing. It's a good silence skill.

Awakenings

You will have to aim for ICD/DEX/STA/CRIT awakenings. Since you're 1v1 you're going to rely on critical hits. Therefore, ICD is the best awakening for you.

ICD = Increased Critical Damage. (also referred to as ADOCH)

Helmet: DEX/STA
Suit: ICD/DEX/STA
Gaunts: CRIT
Boots: ICD
Weapon: ICD/DEX/STA
Fashion: ICD/DEX/STA
Pet: ICD/DEX/STA

Gear

This highly depends on your budget!

Levels 15-30

If you're not a new player and if you have enough money, you can awake and use some NPC gear. Alternatively you can use a Lvl. 15 green set or complete Reonan's chain quests as they will reward you with a Lvl. 15 +3 set. If you keep completing these chain quests, he will give you a level 30 green set which is pretty good!

Level 45
Method 1: Hyper/Cruiser Set
The level 45 green set is the best option. You can even use it until level 150-H. It's basically end game gear for a 1v1 Ranger. It's the best to have it upgraded and awakened. As you can see below, the set effects are very good.

Method 2: Continue using the level 15/30 green set or use awakened Vagrant armor.

Levels 60-120
Method 1: Continue using the level 45 green set.

Method 2: At this point you should have some money so either use awakened Vagrant gear (best option if you can't afford a level 45 set) or use the level 75/105/120 green set. I'm gonna say this again though, the level 45 set is the best especially if it's upgraded.

Weapons

Levels 1-44

Any bow that you can wear, depending on your level. If you're still completing Reonan's quests,
at level 40-ish there will be a quest that will reward you with a level 40 Bow upgraded to +6.

Level 45

It's now recommended to buy a Flaming bow.

Attack: 152 ~ 154
Attack speed: Fast
Bonus:
Critical Damage+20%
Critical Rate+3%
Required Job: Acrobat
Required Level: 45

Level 60

At level 60 you should buy a Guardian Bow. This is very important as it will boost your damage a lot.

Attack: 248 ~ 275
Attack speed: Fast
Added bonus:
Critical +15%
Attack +9%
Increased Critical Damage +21%
Reflect +1%
Hit Rate +10%
Required Job: Acrobat
Required Level: 60

Levels 75-120

At level 75 you can now wear a Lusaka Bow. This bow is extremely powerful and you can use it until you're a high level Master/Hero. If you can't afford one then buy a level 75, 90, 105 green weapon, depending on your level. As you can see below, the Lusaka Bow is stronger than the Legendary Golden Bow (level 105). Don't forget buying a Lusaka Crystal/Vampire/Ancient Bow once you reach
Master.

Attack: 346 ~ 383
Attack speed: Fast
Added bonus:
Critical +23%
Attack +16%
Increased Critical Damage +63%
Additional Damage to Monsters [Wind] +3%
Hit Rate +10%
Required Job: Acrobat
Required Level: 75

Attack: 314 ~ 347
Attack speed: Fast
Added bonus:
Critical +21%

Attack +15%
Increased Critical Damage +60%
Ranged Block +2%
Hit Rate +10%
Required Job: Acrobat
Required Level: 105

 General Tips

- Completing Reonan's quests would be a wise choice if you don't have penya.
- It's a very good idea to have a Ringmaster around.
You can multi log, so get your Acrobat to level 34, then get your second character to level 15 (Assist-RM) and you will be able to plvl yourself.
- Always have a leecher while leveling.
- Join an Advanced Party while leveling.

Mercenaries/Blades

Introduction

Once you reach level 60 as a Mercenary, you will be able to job change into a Blade. Blades unlike Mercenaries, can dual wield weapons (Axes/Swords) and they have a wide variety of  new abilities that will aid you in your journey. Blades are the perfect example of a threat on the battlefield. They use physical strength (STR) and dexterity (DEX) to crush their enemies. STR increases the ATK, while DEX increases the Hit Rate, Attack Speed and Critical rate.

The Pros of a Blade:

  Fast killer
This class has a very high DPS; they excel both in PvM and PvP.

  Good at Giant Hunting
They are fast and efficient while giant hunting. You will probably need a Ringmaster around though.

The Cons of a Blade:

  Expensive equipment

  Ringmaster dependent
You are gonna have a bad time without one!

  Low HP/Defense.
Unlike most classes, Blades are less tankier.

Builds for an Mercenary/Blade!

Recommended build 1:

Keep in mind that you will need a Ringmaster/Billposter with maxed buffs for this build.
Everything should be fine until you reach level 60 even without maxed buffs, but you really need the buffs after that. With this build and maxed Cannon Ball you will reach the first Axe speed break at 53 DEX.

Without any buffs and equipment!

Without any buffs and equipment!

STR: XXX
STA: 30(MIN)-40(MAX)
DEX: 53(MIN)-66(MAX)

Skills - which ones do you need to max?

When you create a character, you won't receive infinite SP (skill points), you receive SP upon leveling up and job changing. Level 1 characters start out with 0 SP. There are lots of skills available but never enough SP, so you cannot max all skills, at least not until you level up to a very high level. Therefore, be careful in which skills you put points in. Maximum skill level

First Job: level 20.
Second Job: level 10.
Third Job: level 5.

Vagrant Skill Tree

Don't spend any points in Vagrant skills, save those points for your Mercenary skills.

Mercenary Skill Tree

Empower Weapon- Lv. 20

 - Increases Attack Power Rate by 11% at max level.
!Decide if you're going to level using Swords or Axes. You will need these skills when you become a Blade too!

If you're going to use Swords

Blazing Sword - Lv. 25

Adds Sword Damage +50, Hit Rate +10%.
Sword Mastery - Lv. 30
- Adds Sword Damage +100.

If you're going to use Axes

Smite Axe - Lv. 25

- Adds Axe Damage +50, DEF +25 at max level.

Axe Mastery - Lv. 30

- Adds Axe Damage +100 at max level.

Blade Skill Tree

Berserk - Lv. 65

Adds Attack Speed +11.5% Attack +150 at max level. You cannot use any other skills while this one is active.

Special One-handed Mastery - Lv. 60M ~ 108M

Increases damage while using a one-handed weapon. Each 12 levels obtained will automatically increase the skill's level. (Obtainable only at Master)

Ultimate Defense - Lv. 121H

Gain a lot of defense but you cannot move.

Points left

If you have a lot of points left you can also max Sneaker.

Sneaker - Lv. 20

Roots an enemy for 0:48 seconds at max level.

Awakenings

You will have to aim for ICD/STR/DEX/CRIT/ATK awakenings. Since you're 1v1 you're going to rely on critical hits. Therefore, ICD is the best awakening for you.

(?) = It's up to you if you want to be a bit tanky or have pure damage. I recommened STR over STA while leveling.

ICD = Increased Critical Damage. (also referred to as ADOCH)

Helmet: STR/DEX/STA(?)
Suit: ICD/DEX/CRIT/STA(?)
Gaunts: CRIT/ATK
Boots: ICD
Weapons: ICD/DEX/CRIT/STA(?)
Pet: ICD/DEX/CRIT/STA(?)

Level 45

Panggril(M)/Stitch(F)
Set Effect: 4/4 DEF+45, HP+10%, FP Consumption -10%, Atk Speed +20%

At level 45 it will probably be a wise decision to get this green set if you don't have the budget for a good awakened Vagrant set. The Attack Speed and Increased HP are very handy. Alternatively keep using the level 15/30 green sets.

Level 60
Recorn(M)/Rescorn(F)
Set Effect: 4/4 Def +50, HP+15%, Atk Speed +20%

This set has only sligthly better set effects than the level 45 set, but the DEF is really good as you're not very tanky. An awesome set overall and I highly recommend it. Alternatively keep using the level 45 green set or a good awakened Vagrant set.

Level 75

Einy/Akan

At this point some players prefer switching over to the level 75 set. Even though the set effects aren't that bad, I'm not very fond of this decision so I suggest not doing it.

Level 90

Dayst/Dest

At level 90 you can switch to a level 90 set, but you only need 3 pieces to get the Critical +15% set bonus. Therefore, if you have a nice awakening on one of your past armor pieces, preferably ICD or Critical, just continue using that. Alternatively you can keep using whatever you've been using up to this point.

Level 105

Blain/Virain

At level 105 you will be able to wear the Blain/Virain set. If you're planning on PvP-ing or tanking, use this set as it's very good. If not, do not switch to it.

Level 120

Noctis/Nox

This is the best set a Blade can wear and I suggest using this one if you can afford it. Keep in mind though that Blain/Virain is still better for PvP-ing/tanking.

Weapons

Depending on your play style, you'll want to use either 2 Axes or 1 Axe (Main Hand) and 1 Sword (Off Hand). 2 Axes means more power but less Attack Speed and Hit Rate, while 1 Axe in Main Hand and 1 Sword in Off Hand means lower damage but higher Attack Speed and Hit Rate. I always preffered the second way, but in the end it's up to you. I don't recommend double swords at all.

Note: You will need more Attack Speed and DEX if you're going with the first way.

Levels 1-44

Any Sword/Axe that can you wear, depending on your level. If you're still completing Reonan's quests, at level 40-ish there will be a quest that will reward you with a level 40 Axe and Sword upgraded to +6.
Level 45

Try getting "Sword of Silver Sword".

 Attack: 154 ~ 156. Bonus: Attack speed+5%, Hit Rate+10%.

Level 60

At level 60 you should buy Guardian weapons. This is very important as it will boost your stats a lot.
This is a power spike.

Guardian Sword

Attack: 235 ~ 261
Attack Speed: Very fast
Bonuses: Attack Speed +12%, Critical Chance +6%, ICD +10%, Reflect Damage +1%, Hit +10%
Required Job: Mercenary
Required Level: 60

Guardian Axe

Attack: 204 ~ 292
Attack Speed: Normal
Bonuses: Attack Speed +6%, Critical Chance +15%, ICD +6%, Reflect Damage +1%, Hit +10%
Required Job: Mercenary
Required Level: 60

Levels 75-120

At level 75 you hit your second power spike, allowing you to wear Lusaka weapons. These weapons are extremely powerful and you can use them until you're a high level Master/Hero. If you can't afford one then just buy a level 75, 90 or 105 green weapon, depending on your level. Lusaka weapons are stronger than the level 105 weapons. Also, do not forget buying Lusaka Crystal/Vampire/Ancient Axes/Swords once you reach Master.

Jewels

Recommended:  Rare Jewelry Sets such as Rudolph, Eversnow etc. / Champion's Set / Vigor Rings, Gore Necklace, Demol Earrings.
