Giant Hunting Guide

These guides are viable and updated for the v19 version of FlyFF!

If you want to start Giant Hunting then you need to be at least level 60 to make considerable amounts of penya. Of course you can also kill lower level Giants but we want to make a lot of penya, not just a few millions. To be more precise, level 63-77 Giants are the best because players are in need of Guardian weapons instead of Historic/Angel/Legendary weapons nowadays. Why? Because when v19 came out, they balanced most of the weapons effects and only the Guardian weapons are worth using. Lusaka and Lusaka Crystal weapons are way better than Historic/Angel/Legendary weapons.

Requirements

- Level 60+

Let's get started!

So, if you want to Giant Hunt for Guardian weapons you can make a Billposter and stay in the level range of 63-67. You can fly around and kill giant Driller to the giant Crane for Guardian weapons and then switch servers.

It's highly recommended to have a level 40 party with drop skills (Lucky Drop, Treasure Hunter). They will increase the chance of you getting better drops.

With some luck, the giants will drop Guardian weapons or green set pieces. You can sell these items for huge amounts of penya. Don't give up if they don't drop any, it's all based on luck.
NOTE: Making a Billposter is just a recommendation, it doesn't mean that the other classes are not good for Giant Hunting.

Here is a map of Darkon 1, I underlined the monsters with red (the spots where giants appear) which are the most viable nowadays. They're in the range of level 63-77 and they have the best drops when it comes to Guardian weapons.

Billposters

Billposters have buffs, tankiness and damage. This class also has a skill called "Stonehand", and when you use it, all of your attacks have a chance of stunning the enemy. Therefore, the giants will be stunned most of the time and they won't be able to attack you. Billposters can use a knuckle and a shield or a stick for self buffing. There are also AoE Billposters, but for Giant Hunting you have to go the 1v1 way.

What buffs do you need to max?

Haste, Cannon Ball, Heap Up, Beef Up, Stonehand (Leave it at level 19, instead of maxing it), Quick Step, Accuracy and later on Asmodeus.
All of the other skills are optional and depends on what you want to do.

Build example for 1v1 (non-buffed)

Strength: xxx (put as many points as you can in STR)
Stamina: 30 (should be 70 with maxxed Heap Up)
Dexterity: 43 (should be 63 with maxxed Cannon Ball)
Intelligence: 15 (1v1 Billposters don't need INT)

Awakenings

Aim for STR/CRIT/ICD/DEX awakenings and STA only if you die a lot. ICD increases your damage a lot but you should also have some critical chance for it to be viable.

Equipment

For levels 1-75 I recommend using Vagrant pieces with good/decent awakenings. If you don't have enough penya for awakened Vagrant pieces, you can use a clean level 30 set. You can get it from Reonan's chain quests or you can buy it from someone.

Use a Guardian Knuckle for levels 60-74 and, if you plan to move on and level up, at level 75 switch to a Lusaka Knuckle.
I won't go further into equipment's as this is just a guide focused on giants of level 63 to 77.
I can however make a more in-depth guide on equipments if there are requests.

Requirements

∙ Preferably knowledge of prices

NOTE: There's no level requirement.

Let's get started!

Merchanting or also "reselling" means buying something cheap and selling it again to players for a higher price. This is also one of the best methods of making money in most MMORPG's.

I recommend buying upgraded Sets/Weapons, Sunstones/Moonstones, Premium Items(powerups, scrolls, etc.), Fashion (Cash-Shop) or Pet Feed. Why? Because those thend to sell the best, you generally never want to get stuck with the items you bought for reselling purposes.

If you bought something, you can open a shop in the Market Town and just go AFK. Describe what you are selling in the Shop Name, don't just type random letters. You can also advertise your items by shouting (check end of guide for pictures) be it with a "Full Shout" (fullshout) or without one. I recommend buying a Full Shout only when you have a lot of money or you are selling items that are hard to obtain such as upgraded gear/rare Fashion.

How can you know the prices if you're new?

∙ Ask on the forum, there's a Price Check thread.

∙ Always ask for offers before saying your price.

∙ Ask around many players.

∙ Watch the market prices.

(check everyday prices of a said item and make a list of the prices you find,

that way you can see what's the average price)

∙ Play the game, you'll eventually have enough experience with the game.

WARNING: Never buy an item if you don't know its real value. Never buy useless items. Always aim, if you can, for items that are in demand. This is very time consuming and it takes a while to fully understand how everything works.

C/O = current offer
M/O = mail offer
A/W = awaiting
L/O = leave offer
WTB = wanting to buy
WTS = wanting to sell
S> = selling
B> = buying
AFK = away from keyboard
K = 1,000 (one thousand)
M = 1,000,00 (one million)

Pictures

Press the button covered in the green box to write a message in shout mode.

When you're done, grab the speech bubble and drag it to a hot key.

This will let you shout the same message without retyping it everytime.

Have you ever wondered how to get rich at lower levels?

Don't worry, making money, or rather, "penya" (main currency of FlyFF) isn't that hard.

This is just the first guide of the many to follow, from low levels to high levels!

It's detailed and very newb friendly.

NOTE: Before starting, make sure you are in the range of levels 45-55. The lower, the better drop rate but keep in mind that it will be also harder/slower for you depending on how good your equipment and build is.

Let's get started!

This method relies on killing Ivillis Red Otems, they are located in the Ivillis Dungeon (SM).

How do we get there?

1. Buy a "Blinkwing of Saint Morning". (800 penya)

2. Use the Blinkwing by double clicking it.

3. Press the "M" key and go to the red marked spot on the map.

4. Enter the dungeon.

5. Follow this minimap and go to the marked spot.

6. Start killing the Ivillis Red Otems.

These Masquerpets have a high dropping rate of Sunstones and Moonstones but also sometimes Green Level 45 Armor. Anyway, what we're looking for is marked down below.
Green = most valuable & Blue = valuable.

Trangoggle. (Quest Item)
Food.
Refreshers.
Sunstones.
Moonstones.
Cards.
Penya.
Blue Weapons/Armor. (normal weapons/armor with no extra stats)
Green Level 45 Armor.

7. Sell your drops in the marketplace.

Once you farmed enough Sunstones, Moonstones, Trangoggles and possibly Cards and Lvl. 45 Armor, you can sell them to other players. You can turn your Trangoggles into Pet Feed first by talking to the Pet Tamer NPC. (there's one in Flaris, one in Darkon and one in Saint Morning)

Prices vary between clusters(servers), therefore I highly recommend checking the prices first or asking for price checks on the official forums or in-game! Ask around more players, not just one just so you can make sure that you got the right price.
